As a leader, If you expect high performance from your team, you need to make yourself available.
Paying them well, having a clear career path, understanding how they contribute to the results of the company and being part of a winning team will not be enough if you are not there for them
Do not fool yourself.
I was having dinner with my family and my son asked me
"Dad why you don't work for that company anymore?"
My daughter replied ."When Dad worked there he and I had no relationship at all".
I felt like something was stabbing my heart
Never forget that family is the most important thing in your life. Do not take things for granted.
Make time for them, always!
We are living unprecedent times and despite all the uncertainty , everyday we hear stories of neighbors stepping up to support their community and this brightens our day.
A lot can be done with so little.
You can help by:
Putting encouraging messages in your house.
Helping someone with the groceries.
Listening to a friend who is going thru a difficult situation
Volunteering a couple of hours per week.
Make time for your community
